This hotel is a little tired but that is reflected in the extremly reasonable price. We used as a stop over but this looks like a great destination for walking. The food in the restaurant was absolutely superb! I wouldn't usually comment on Veg but it was seasoned so well I wanted more.

Positive aspects of my solo stay: Stunning views, good location, clean room, very comfy and hudge bed! Staff very friendly and helpful (thank you for kindly fulfilling my special request ) Spacious car park at the property. Haven’t tried the food but it did smell delicious! Downsides (unfortunately): the building is “old and tired” and could use some improvement, as mentioned by other guests. Rooms have little to none soundproofing

Great location with amazing views across to Plymouth Sound. The staff are the best we have ever had in any of the hotels we have stayed in. Nothing is too much bother including housekeeping. Sudeep, Sunil and Madan are amazing!!! They have looked after us so well and as I said nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing, all freshly made from scratch, and very reasonably priced. We have stayed while we have some structural work to our own home. We will definitely be coming back for the Sunday roast, and Wednesday Crurry night. Thank you all for looking after us so well, Sean and Celia :) free wifi and parking 15 minutes to the A38 about 20 minutes to Plymouth City Centre

great little hotel. good price and friendly. Yes as other mentioned it has a bit age and carpet could use some clean etc. but for the price - it's great. what matters is the room is clean, bed sheets are clean. Friendly service - good breakfast. Will be staying here again if coming to visit in the area. It's hard to sustain business these days and hope people will visit this cozy hotel!

I stayed on a Monday night as needed to be near Plymouth for the morning. I fancied something abit different and gave it a go. I’m so glad I did, I had a fantastic steak with what were the best chips I’ve ever tasted! The view at breakfast was amazing too! The staff were outstanding too!

Whenever I visit Plymouth I stay at Moorland Hotel. I can afford to stay at the posher hotels in the city but, to be honest, the Moorland is too compelling. So, why is that? The location is superb as you get a beautiful view over the city and estuary, plus the feel of the Moors that are literally on the other side of the road. Parking is no problem, even for larger vehicles. The Moorland is very charming and presents great value. The other aspect is the customer service, worthy of a 5 star hotel. Any problems just call and the staff are available to politely help you out. I highly recommend Moorland Hotel. Breakfast with a stunning view is worth the price of admission!

Had a family lunch in the restaurant and would like to praise the attention given to us and the quality of the food - both excellent. Can recommend this as a venue for a meal out. We will return!
